The Hager Group is a leading provider of solutions and services in the field of electrical installations for residential, industrial, and commercial properties. The history of the Hager electrical brand began in 1955 in Saarland when brothers Hermann and Oswald Hager, together with their father Peter Hager, founded the company as a purely family-owned business. It was a turbulent time: after World War II, the Saar region belonged to France, and entering the German market was not an option. Nevertheless, from the very beginning, the founders aimed to take advantage of the favorable location on the border of France and Germany and operate on both sides. Within less than five years, this plan succeeded: Saarland joined Germany as a new federal state, and the Hager family established "Hager Electro S.A." in Obernai, France. The flagship products of the Hager brand became residential distribution boards and modular devices, particularly components for the safe management of energy. Hager is a leader in modern electrical installations, holding more than 3,000 patents and introducing numerous innovations and world premieres. Since the 1990s, successful acquisitions have expanded the Hager family, including the addition of Tehalit, the European leader in cable management systems. One of the most successful acquisitions in Hager's history occurred in 2010, when Berker, a manufacturer of switches and residential devices, joined the Hager portfolio. Berker is also a family-owned business, founded in Germany in 1919. Over its nearly century-long history, Berker has achieved numerous patents, firsts, and design awards. The Hager Group portfolio also includes charging stations for electric vehicles and intelligent building management systems. In 2030, Hager Electro will celebrate 30 years of operations in the Czech Republic, while the entire Hager Group will mark its 70th anniversary. Czech and Slovak customers are served by a team of sales, technical, and marketing specialists.
